Wired.com has a piece up going through Office for Mac and Windows and detailing the differences between the two.

How does Office for Mac compare to Office for Windows?

I haven't read through it all yet, but I will soon.

What does everyone think?

I'll probably get Office for Mac free through school, but I'm trying to use iWork exclusively for my next term in classes and see how that works for me.

No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now.

Wow.

Wired's layout.... is crapatular. Seriously fucked up.

It's just like the CNN of geeks- nothing but shitload of pictures and sound bites.

The article doesn't even begin to scratch the surface between those version, IMO.

After going through it, it really doesnt get that much in detail about the differences.

Mostly just pictures showing each of the different programs on Mac and Windows.

Every time I click "next image" I get sent to the bottom of the next page.

Yep, it's mostly like an executive summary.

OT: I stopped renewing my subscription to Wired three years ago. Two years ago I stopped checking their website. With the exception of a few good articles, nothing they have is all that interesting.

I get Wired more for the design than the content. Sometimes I'll read the cover story.

And now back to the topic...

It's kinda sad...all the magazines I used to buy and enjoy just really aren't that good anymore. And many of them - Publish, MacUser, etc. - no longer exist.

Once it dawned on me that Macworld was 48% advertising (and 11% subscription renewal cards that fell out and covered my floor, piling up past my ankles) - and that by the time it arrived to my house, I'd already heard about and read up on everything in that issue two weeks earlier on the Internet - I let my subscription lapse. This was two or so years ago...
