I've been playing Worldle, but, no matter how close I get (less than 1,000 miles by turn 3), I can never guess the actual country. Disheartening, for someone who considers himself a bit of a geography/map junkie. Years ago I had a world map shower curtain and I'd stand there, while taking a shower, and just look it over and memorize shapes, locations, etc.
I should never have gotten rid of it because my skills seem to have diminished greatly.  |

It had a weird distribution for me where I either guess most on first try in ~30% of the cases, or give up after a while in another ~60% either because it’s a region I’m not very familiar with, or some island in the middle of the ocean. Few cases are in between.

Another Worldle bust-out for me. I was in the region, literally next-door countries (I knew it was in that part of the world). Then I started to doubt myself and shot over about 6,000 miles to the east. Can't believe I didn't enter the right one when I was in that region. I was sitting here going "I know there's another one I'm not thinking of...".
