What? There's no thread for this yet? Bah!

Alright, kiddies. It's time to share your Halloween costumes!

As usual, we had a slew of awesome costumes at my office. Here's a shot of me, caught off guard by a class five full roaming vapor. (Trying to attack my shoes, apparently?)

There are even blinky lights and sounds in my pack and wand. Maybe I'll post a video later because it's just that awesome.

Here's the whole gang from my office. Click to embiggen.

No costumes, unless you consider PJ's a costume.

He actually looks a lot like Harold Ramis in that top photo. I think he does.

I'm glad this thread was started! I won the costume contest tonight at my event.

Me on stage before the judges.

Near the end of the night my batteries were running low.

Me from behind; wasn't I a sight for sore eyes?

My prize was a $20 gift card to the AMC theater. Date night coming up!

I went to work as the Loopt guy from WWDC. I've never seen so many people laugh that hard.

Someone posted me and the original for kicks.

Thanks! It's hard to see in that picture since I have the goggles on, but I actually spiked up my hair a bit to give me some of that voluminous '80s Ramis/Egon hair.

Also, I won best costume (two years in a row!) and this year the grand prize was a whopping extra vacation day, way better than the Bed Bath & Beyond gift card from last year.

And congrats to you, too! Your second picture has a special kind of horrifying that strikes me like a deer in headlights. When I scroll down, I stop on it for a second before I shake myself free.

Since, err, February?

I'll repeat the same line I gave to a few folks at work. When I was a kid growing up in the '80s, there were two things that I really, really wanted to be for Halloween: Link from The Legend of Zelda and a Ghostbuster. I never got to be either. So, the last two years I went completely over-the-top to fulfill my childhood fantasies for Halloween. Mission accomplished!

I actually feel strangely fulfilled after all of that, believe it or not, and can't think of anything else that stands out as something I'll do for Halloween in the coming years...

Sounds like this could turn into a hell of a forum vote!

Check out these Hydraulically assisted RAPTOR suits. <<< Video #1

Video #2 - baby TRex

Yes, there is a person in that costume. What I would give for one of these to scare trick or treaters.

Imagine hiding in the bushes with this thing, speakers flanking your "prey".

First, you rustle the leaves as the small dinosaur chirping sounds attract their attention. Once they look in your direction - you burst out of the foliage, coordinated to the sound of a raptor scream. Then commence running them down

That would make an excellent YouTube video.

4 popped collars cool....

PS - Brad you aren't Harold Ramis' illegitimate kid are you? You could almost pass for it. Nice work on the costume BTW. And if you started in February you'd *better* win, otherwise ridicule might ensure.

I went as Luigi. Got a fake mustache, green newsboy cap with the "L" label, green sweater, overalls, and big puffy cartoon gloves.

I will post pics when I can get them. I didn't bring my camera to the party so I don't have any of my own pictures.

We had a Luigi at our office, too. This guy had grown a goatee over the past few weeks and last night shaved off the beard part to complete his costumed appearance.

Also, MOAR PICTURES. I'm disappointed in you guys! Or is everyone still hung-over from last night's parties?

I didn't get dressed up at all.

The Phillies World Series Parade was yesterday and Halloween took a back seat for many people here, including myself.

Sorry, no pics, we didn't get dressed up... but we did go to Trinity Church in Manhattan and watch the John Barrymore Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, accompanied by live organ music played by Cameron Carpenter. Didn't suck.

Here are a few of my costume from the party the lady and I attended. We were zombies, which is cliché, but hell, neither of us had ever been one for halloween, so we figured it was our time to play that card. My gf, in a moment of inspiration, tried to make her gash resemble Omar's.

With the better half:

Nomming a friend's back-alley contortionist prop:

Nomming a friend in a fat suit:

Seen a man standin' over a dead dog lyin' by the highway in a ditch
He's lookin' down kinda puzzled pokin' that dog with a stick

I'm actually surprised I didn't see more "dick in a box" costumes this year! Man, if I would've remembered, I would've rigged one up!
