I have Mail working at work with Windows Exchange Server and also my .Mac account. In the past few weeks I have been noticing that it is getting slower and slower on retrieiving and sending, especially on the Exchange account. Currently I have the following Stats:
Exchange: 45,000 messages 2 GB Mac: 2000 Messages 168 MB I am assuming I need to delete some of the exchange (I do this periodically). Of the 45,000 messages 26,000 or in trash and 12,000 are sent. Is this the case or could it be something else. |

I am also forced to use exchange (via MS's broken imap) at work with mail.app and checking my mail is pretty slow and always has been. Even when I had about half the size that you have, things were very slow.
Our exchange admin. (who is very knowledgeable about exchange and MS stuff in general) says that it seems to be one of those stupid MS things. He really thinks that the cause has something to do with MS's 'imap' feature on exchange not working correctly. |

I have tried and tried to use something other than OutLook at work and as soon as I use Imap with any client, it goes really slow...Even Entourage sucks with exchange using Imap.
