Ok, now I have this:
Code:
<li><div class='falbum-random'>
<div class='falbum-thumbnail'><a href='/wp-content/plugins/falbum/wp/album.php?show=recent&page=2&photo=160279722'><img src='http://static.flickr.com/76/160279722_9559704eaf_s.jpg' alt="L1000531" title="L1000531" class='falbum-recent-thumbnail' /></a>
</div>
<div class='falbum-thumbnail'><a href='/wp-content/plugins/falbum/wp/album.php?show=recent&page=1&photo=159962885'><img src='http://static.flickr.com/58/159962885_2d298cba2f_s.jpg' alt="L1000719" title="L1000719" class='falbum-recent-thumbnail' /></a>
</div>
<div class='falbum-thumbnail'><a href='/wp-content/plugins/falbum/wp/album.php?show=recent&page=2&photo=159909502'><img src='http://static.flickr.com/71/159909502_7b84add4d8_s.jpg' alt="L1000627" title="L1000627" class='falbum-recent-thumbnail' /></a>
</div>
<div class='falbum-thumbnail-last'><a href='/wp-content/plugins/falbum/wp/album.php?show=recent&page=2&photo=160267421'><img src='http://static.flickr.com/45/160267421_6e3f8cb9e4_s.jpg' alt="L1000522" title="L1000522" class='falbum-recent-thumbnail' /></a>
</div>
</div>
</li> So now I just alter the CSS? |

Yeah That should do the trick. Notice that this solution won't work properly if you ever decide to change the amount of thumbnails. In that case, just change the "< 4" around.

Well it seems to have stopped the links below from floating out but there is something weird when I look at it in either Safari or Firefox.

Here is my CSS with the amendment you mentioned.
Code:
/* ----------- Thumbnails -------------*/
.falbum-tn-border-s {
float: left;
width: 95px;
height: 95px;
}
.falbum-tn-border-t {
float: left;
width: 120px;
height: 125px;
}
.falbum-tn-border-m {
float: left;
width: 260px;
height: 260px;
}
.falbum-thumbnail {
float: left;
<?php if ($falbum_display_dropshadows == '-ds') { ?>
background: url('images/shadow.gif') no-repeat bottom right;
margin: 5px 0px 0px 6px;
padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
<?php } else { ?>
background-color: #fff;
border: 1px solid #a9a9a9;
padding: 4px;
<?php } ?>
}
.falbum-thumbnail-last {
background: url('images/shadow.gif') no-repeat bottom right;
margin: 5px 0px 0px 6px;
padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
}
.falbum-thumbnail img {
<?php if ($falbum_display_dropshadows == '-ds') { ?>
background-color: #fff;
border: 1px solid #a9a9a9;
display: block;
margin: -5px 5px 5px -5px;
padding: 4px;
position: relative;
<?php } ?>
}
.falbum-thumbnail img:hover {
background-color: #ccd;
}
.falbum-editable{
color: #000;
background-color: #ffffd3;
} |

Chucker,
I'd really like to thankyou for helping me out here, and even though it still doesn't look right it was good of to you help. I know that these plug-ins are free, but I really wish the developers would test them out. I mean this is just using a simple Kubrick Theme with no modifications. Anyway, as I said, Thanks for your time. Much appreciated. |

Glad I found this thread. I can code multi-thread apps all day. Yet wordpress and web dev justs beats my ass.
I'm having a problem adding a third bar to a blog. We need it for ads. Are there good options out there? Also I have seen WP blogs where each one is kind signed with a nice little orange RSS tag. I would like to add this, anyone know how? Thanks guys! I've made a Mac classic into a fish tank. Check out my homepage www.hoshnasi.com, its your blog/podcast stop for drink reviews, advice on anything and poker tips. |

You've got a couple of options. One, and the easier of the 2, is to find a theme that has 3 columns. The other is to change the css of your current theme to have a 3rd column.
That little RSS tag is just an image with a link to the RSS feed, probably. |

Could anyone please take a look at my blog. For weeks now, everything has been fine but now the RSS Feed will not validate. Could anyone please tell me where I should begin looking in order to track down the error?

I ran a check on the feed and the result is below. Can anyone explain what is wrong?

Code:
ataraxy:~ chucker$ curl http://www.jasonnewton.net/?feed=rss2
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!-- generator="wordpress/2.0.2" -->
<rss version="2.0" The first line is empty and mustn't be. Must be a problem in your PHP code. header.php, probably. |

Right, so it can't be that file. Sorry, mate. I'll see if I can find where the file is actually loaded.

Hmm. I'm working on a new wordpress site and it was going fine. I had just started editing the template files, with my fav combo of SEE and Transmit, and I saved some changes. Now my site is unreachable. I don't know what the problem is. FTP still works, pinging works but I can't get to the site through a web browser at all... www.durhamdbt.com .
Any ideas about what could cause this? All I did was delete the text "Comments are off for this post." Thinking that broke it somehow (there's no way it should have), I undid my changes. No luck. Any help/troubleshooting would be appreciated. Thx. edit: Nevermind. That was very strange... |

Your site takes a while to load, but does so without error.

Sometimes, if my connection hasn't been refreshed recently, Transmit will send an empty file to the server and stall. I just reconnect, resave my files in SEE and they upload completely. I don't know if that's what your issue was, or if it's a server-side thing in my case, but take it as you will. I always double-check the file size if something goes awry.

BTW, dreamhost's pages are pretty slow in general. But you can't beat their packages. I don't need really fast speeds for my sites and they make life a ton easier by including all the installers I'll ever need and unlimited domain hosting. |

Anyone else find that if you add a post to your blog and then delete it, it still appears on your RSS feed? Can anyone check mine in the link below to confirm the welcome Wordpress post is still on the RSS feed ?
I guess if you do, I should just remove it from the database.. |

Somewhat involved question coming your way:
I want to open up my site to asking me questions but there are some hoops I'd like people to jump through before doing it. Sort of like agreeing to our ToS here. Is there a way to do this? And have a captcha or whatever to verify it's not a bot? This is just an idea I'm kicking around but it'd be cool if I could do it. |

I made a captcha of my own for the previous incarnation of my website.
The way that it worked was that you had to go through TWO pass screens to get to me. The first time through I grabbed the Universal time (I think it's an integer?) with PHP and stuck it into a variable. There, I marked when they came into the site. The visitor then had something like 30 seconds to read the story and answer a question based on the story. After submitting their answer the code would grab the Universal time again and compare it to the first time marker. If they took too long they were rejected. If they made it THAT far successfully I would show one of X number of graphic images of little monsters with their names made in crazy fonts. You had to type in the monster's name (traditional captcha) to go any farther. Only a few people had the time or patience to bother me. It was great! |

The current discussion of captchas and such made me curious so I went and tried to find a nice compact WP2.x plug-in email form but only found one that looked worthwhile. Is there an especially popular plug-in for handling emails from WP?

I just use the one called wp-contact-form. I don't remember where I found it but it seems more than adequate for me. In lieu of a captcha, I'm thinking of password protecting my posting page and having that password "hidden" in an <a title="password"> so they have to read over the text and hover long enough to see the password. We'll see if that's a viable option. |

Tori, I did in fact start using that plug-in - forgot to thank you.
NOW.... I've been looking into adding "tools" for letting people do rapid bookmarking of articles in the de.licio.us and ma.gnolia (and I guess DIGG) book marker thingies. Anybody else tried these? I know that Tori is a DIGGer so here's one for DIGG.... What do you think? |

I just installed it and realized that one of the options could be dangerous - the "notify admins when someone diggs a story". At first I thought it was for when a story was submitted but it's every time it gets dugg from the page. That could clog my inbox pretty quickly.
