Maybe I'm dull, but I don't get it. I'm in my office now but I don't see any way of getting "back to my mac" at home. Am I supposed to turn something on? When I'm on my home network, I can see my other computers just fine, but that's never been a problem. I thought BtMM was supposed to a no-config sort of thing. What gives?

It doesn't work through all firewalls, but it makes a good effort at it.

I guess I need to configure my router to allow it through? I haven't turned the firewall on on any of my machines because they're all behind routers with no port mapping. Any ideas on how to configure it?

Well first you *do* need to turn it on.

I haven't been able to figure it out either. I've got an APE at home and followed the steps in the Apple Support Documents to allow Back to My Mac to work, but I still can't access my home computer from work. I attribute it to the on-going .Mac Sync updating that's been going on for almost a month now. But who knows.

I have turned it on in my .mac preferences. I've gotten that far. Looks like I may need to mess with UPnP on my router to get it working. Thanks for the link.

Sweet. Updating my iMac and MBP to 10.5.1 made it work. No manual config required.

I've done the set up a number of times and still can't get it to work from home to office. It will work at the office on the 'shared' network, but not remotely.
I've been getting .mac sync problems since I started trying to get BTMMac going...?
