Map update!

I'm only posting a small section of the map this time since most people have been working in or around Bridgeport.

Click for larger version. As usual, northwest is "up". Also, please save the image locally if you find yourself checking it regularly.

Ah. Good to know, Jak.

You've seen the path to the UFO, right? Just didn't want anyone to think I was starting another project before I finish what I have going now.

So it goes.

In the future, all Minecraft participants will be named some form of Jack.

We had another group photo op last night! We christened ThunderPoit/InvaderJak's new Paulydome and had several visitors wander the biomes and explore its secrets. Oh yes, and secrets there are.

Here the guys are in the desert biome while I'm taking a the pic from a temporary platform over the ocean.

Go check it out if you haven't already!

So, I was wandering through the caves under Mob Hill for a bit...I didn't see one slime in the entire thing. I did find something odd, however:

How did they even get down there?!

Squids can spawn in pretty much any water, IIRC. It's not unheard of for them to spawn in caves.

I turned off hostiles last night so Robo/werejack could do some exploring out in the dark to scout out his new project location. I'll be reenabling hostiles shortly...

Turtle, you thought that was cool. BAM!

And they do exist: Pink Sheep, thanks ThunderPoit for the caption.

And yes that is the nearly completed Stone's Rink of Pain in the background.

You can see where the lighting hit right by the pub. No lightning in the image though.

Yeah, it was cool too. Biggest thing saving it's damage there was the hit was on stone slab. No wonder me and Brad couldn't find the strike evidence.

A bolt actually hit the top of the money bin earlier, and set one of the Netherrack blocks on fire. Pretty badass.

World map update!

This time I've added periodic coordinates and a grid overlay to indicate the "meta chunk" perimeters. I plan to delete some of those chunks in the near future to clear out areas that have grown from broad exploration and resource gathering trips. I'll be deleting the regions that have no visible above-ground settlements, and I'll post another map with those areas highlighted before I pull the trigger.

As usual, please save the large image to your local drive if you plan to reference it.

Can that be right? Except for a little extra in the NE it doesn't look much different than last week's map.

There's a huge extra compound south and east of my library that I don't recall. Who is that?
