Hey where the white women at?

If you go to crucial's site there are four 1GB sticks they recommend for my Rev. C 17" iMac, WTF?
Can anyone help me out to make sure I get the right one. I'm looking at the $114 one of course, but want to make sure it's the right one. Here's the links: http://www.crucial.com/store/MPartsp...&WSPN=CT494257 http://www.crucial.com/store/MPartsp...&WSPN=CT494253 http://www.crucial.com/store/MPartsp...SPN=CT47787 2 http://www.crucial.com/store/MPartsp...SPN=CT47787 3 Thanks guys. iMac G3 iMac G5 MacBook |

That's what I thought too, and it seems to meets Apple's specs according to the manual.
Plus it's got better latency. Thanks. |

Since you've only got limited slots, you might splurge and max out for a 2GB module
Alternatively, NewEgg has a bunch more 1GB choices for less than crucial |

This one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820150628) specs out identical to the one for $114 on Crucial. Me thinks this is the way to go, and almost at half the price. Any objections? Thanks again curiousuburb. iMac G3 iMac G5 MacBook |

If you can afford the extra change, the $199 for 2GB is tough to beat... even the gigaram for $312. Crucial had only one 2GB for $900
Otherwise, just make sure the lifetime warranty is honoured by NewEgg and click away. |

Plus, I doubt I'd see that much of an improvement. The most intensive thing I run is Photo Shop, so 1.5GB should be good. But I agree with your thinking, this is a one shot deal so you gotta make the most of it. Well, off the newegg and get ready to crack open my iMac. iMac G3 iMac G5 MacBook |

On the Intel iMacs I heard it is better to use two sticks of 512MB then the 1GB stick of RAM, or, if you do get the 1 GB stick, pair it with another stick of 1GB of RAM. Anybody else here of this?
