what do you guys use/think?

Digg is growing on me as it is a wider variety of stuff. Slashdot does politics too, which appeals to me also. I use both digg and slashdot.

I also actively read and participate on engadget and gizmodo

I have RSS feeds from news.com, slashdot and wired on my personalised google home-page. I'll click on any article that catches my eye, but I don't actively use any of them or have a preference.

I use NetNewsWire, so I have the RSS feeds for both Slashdot and Digg. I never liked News.com, and haven't heard of the other one.

I have Slashdot RSS'ed, and I check Seattletimes.com and news.bbc.co.uk pretty regularly. That's not including any Mac news sites, of course.

Digg is hands down, my favorite tech news site (diggnation is also my favorite video podcast).

Newsvine is my favorite general news site.

Slashdot has IMHO, become a shadow of its former self. Most of its stories are linked to blogs, which then link to the real stories. 99% of the science stories on there are stories about some crank who believes he's invented a water powered rocket/prooved all physics is wrong etc. The people who post on there are generally idiots who mainly think they follow the Linux/Free Software idiology but in reality have no idea what it means.
