Good question. That's been gone for a long time from the front page since we killed off the CMS.
As for the CafePress store, look up! I fixed the old broken HTML templates, updating them to look like the current style. We might add some stuff there for fun. The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |

The bigger issues is whatever you decide to design for white t-shirts likely has to be redone to print on black. And it takes more ink.

Hi, guys, sorry, still recovering from a cold... do I understand correctly that the Cafepress AN store is fully operational again? Or is it still a 'work in progress?'
Second question: if I would order something from the store, would it fully benefit AppleNova? BTW: I wouldn't mind to see a cool 'Viva La Revolución!'-clock or a 'Dancing Lock'-shirt as a shopping option. EDIT: I don't have a creditcard yet. Are there other ways to transfer money for (non-US) members? Last edited by Oompa Loompa : 2006-04-22 at 10:35. |

The way Cafe Press works is they sell us a T-shirt for say $14, we put our design on it etc. and then we sell it for $16, and AN gets a $2 profit.
The nice part about Cafe Press is that we don't buy that $14 t-shirt until someone orders our $16 t-shirt, so there's very little upfront cost of operating a store. As for shirt ideas and the like, that might not be a bad idea for a thread. See if we can get some people *cough* paul *cough* to come up with some other cool designs/ideas. Google is your frenemy. Not that this has much to do about much ... but I *love* the copy that Jack wrote for the Aldo Nova silhouette collection. I still get a kick just reading it.
(Mad props to 'scates too ... he's the man - consider yourself reminded Paul.) |

Yes a *cough* new thread where *cough* paul and others would come up with some shiny new stuff would be fantastic! I like the Leprauchan a lot though! Last edited by Oompa Loompa : 2006-04-22 at 10:56. |

I have to say, I would rather at least be able to donate to a PayPal account to support the site than feel like I had to buy something. If you have an account open and set a Admin/Developer rule set for use of it, I would give to support the community here.
Cool shirt would be cool too, though so few people would know what the shirt meant that I would use it for a beater when doing dirty work. Remember the great T-shirt designs we talked about over at AN before the Revolution? There were some great ones....

Okay... if somebody actually put the IBL shirt on the AppleNova store, I would most definitely buy one.
Anybody feel like making a "hello, the" shirt? Private jokes rawk. You ask me for a hamburger. |

Totally awesome.

If you could figure out a way of putting actual posts on a t shirt, I'd most likely buy several.
This is a quick and dirty version, but I think it would go something like this: |

Erm... nobody will ever read it.
Anything on a t-shirt should be short enough to read with a single glance. Two, maybe. I like ABB's idea about "hello, the". A good icebreaker. Though there's possiblity of weird looks now and then. |

I think it would be awesome to see someone wearing that. And it wouldn't be for other people, it'd be for me

Someone have a link to the original "Hello the" thread? I was looking for it and the search funciton seems to hate the words hello and the. Stupid search engine.

You know, they'll think it was a spoof of the popular "Hello, World!" program, but hey, cool t-shirt anyway!

You know, for a while I was considering the "hello, the" hoodie, but that thong would make an awesome gift for a special someone.
