I have iLife '08 on my Macbook install discs. When I get leopard tomorrow and do a clean install, will i be able to pop in my Macbooks Tiger Disc and install iLife from that?

I wasn't with my iBook and iLife'04. So I had to do an upgrade from Panther to Tiger.

I don't see why not. It's not on the Tiger disk, but on a separate 'applications' disk. At least, it was for me.

Anyway, you could always just do an archive and install.

It may not be directly accessible, but Pacifist should help you out.

You don't need to go to any extraordinary steps to do this. Put your Macbook install DVD into the computer after you've upgraded and there should be an app to install software. I don't have my discs in front of me, but there's a specific application on your system's install discs that allow you to do this.

i rebuilt my PB t'other month with a fresh Tiger install. i popped in one of my Panther discs that shipped with the PB and installed Garage Band, iMovie etc no problem at all. i see no reason why it shouldn't work with Leopard.

I'm in the same situation as feidhlim1986, so I decided to post a few screenshots of a "bundle" installer included on my aluminum iMac installer discs. The bundle installer is located on the first disc. Since I don't have Leopard yet, I can't verify if this approach will work.

That's exactly the way it should work. That will help you install anything that came with your Mac without having a standalone disc for the apps.
