I wish I could actually help to answer the question that started this thread, but since I can't, I will content myself to laugh hysterically at it.

Hmm...are you sure it wasn't The Secret Garden? I had the SO peek in on this thread and she thinks it might have been. There were a couple of versions, IIRC.

BTW, she thinks we're all assholes.

So it goes.

No, no. She's much too enamored with teh interweb's ability to find the latest Lacey Peterson type news...or pictures of sex offenders living within 100 miles of us.

She could care less about us...and anyways, if she got too interested I'd steer her towards some of Kickaha's C++XML>XYZ posts. That'll scare the hell out of her...or at least get a good eye roll.

So it goes.

Did you even try google?

Could this be the film you're looking for?

I was going to let you suffer for a bit or even let you practice your google skills, but I am off to get my dinner now so I'll put you out of your misery:-

A Google Search for "uncle an a letter boy lady devil" returns a number 1 hit for Turn of the screw!

Enjoy

Maybe I'm wrong, and this is a wild shot in the dark here, but maybe, just maybe it's Turn of the Screw?

Just a wild guess, of course.

Did you even look at the links? And if you search IMDB I think the story has been made into a few films - some with some funny french names, so perhaps it is also portrait of a lady!

Would you like me to come round to your house and give you a lesson on using your mouse button? (Now I kniow why Apple decided 1 button was enough for most peeps! )

Look harder

IMDB --> little "SHOP for this DVD" button in the top right ---> Amazon... 62 used copies of the DVD for under 12 bucks. Even VHS.

Geez, dude... at least make a token effort.

Or you could search on P2P with equally small effort.

Been there, done that. That DVD says 2000, not 1999.

Holy Flying Fucking Spaghetti Monster...it's the same damned film. Look at the actors listed for Monster's sake. Good Spaghetti you know how to piss a guy off.

There isn't a red reputation mark big enough for how frustrating you are.

A release in the theatres usually isn't out on DVD for six months either. Faster now, but back then they often had to wait for the broadcast rights to expire.

I cannot train him... too impatient he is.
