"You cannot put life into a lifeless thing!" No, but we sure wish we could right about now. |

"Little bastard shot me in the ass...". "Are we awake?" "We're not sure. Are we...black?" That was another great screen duo, Wilder with Cleavon Little. I would've liked to have seen those two characters on further adventures. But riding off into the sunset (and getting into the limousine) was pretty cool too. |

Mrs T and I watched Blazing Saddles again the night before Gene's passing was announced. We love that movie and he's going to live on through it and a few others he was in.

I know Gizmodo's had a nervous breakdown since Gawker went down, but why on earth would that story pop-up while surfing this afternoon? I should have known. Every time someone tries to make Green Lantern cool, it fails miserably. |

Proper quote should be: "the Force is strong with this one"
Sadly, may be: "I've got a bad feeling about this" |

The 2016 Death Parade just claimed George Michael, aged 53.
Harsh... but if you're inclined to believe there's an upside to all things, some might say that the Heavenly Choir just improved. Some decent news: scientists have developed a 100% effective Ebola vaccine.
In related news, 2016 declared "only 99% dumpster fire." |

A tweet is "Assault with a deadly weapon*" now children.
Guess we really need to keep in mind what we tweet from now on. I can't wait to see what happens with some people's drunk tweet going forward. In this case I don't know that I agree with the charges. On one hand, the guy knew what he was doing and did so maliciously. That makes it horribly wrong in my book and he should pay a price. On the other hand, the next time I tweet and image to someone that I didn't know was a "trigger" for something (PTSD, Seizure, panic attack, etc.) do I need to watch out for the FBI hunting me down and charging me like that? Seems like a really rough road ahead for a litigious society. For this case, they perp should pay a price...I only know a few details assuming those are true though. Here is the CNN version of the story. Quote:

So, I'm hugely biased because I have an epileptic in the family, but when you're 6 and you've seen someone seize so hard they crack their skull open, you never forget how goddamned nasty a seizure can be.
I think like with anything else that harms, intent is going to be critical. I can't see the FBI hunting someone down for tweeting something generally out to the world that causes a seizure; when like this asshole did, you send a known harm-causer to a person who you know will be harmed, throw the fucking book at them.
