Work has just purchased a new MacPro and 2 new 30" monitors. The Mac Pro has an extra nvidia geforce 7300 gt and i was wondering if anyone knew if it could be put in the older PowerMac they have. The PowerMac is a dual 2Ghz G5.

If that's not possible, what would be the cheapest way to get the 30" monitor working on the PoweMac?

Thanks!

So i realise i only put this up yesterday, but i was hoping even if people didn't know the answer, wether or not they would know where i could find the answer.

I have tried good old google and the apple site but have had no luck.

Thanks again

Well, is at a Dual CPU 2.0GHZ, or Dual Core 2.0GHZ? The older 2.0GHZ uses an AGP slot.

well is your powermac G5, late 2004 or late 2005 release? Because the gfx slots are different (late 2004: AGP and late 2005: PCI-E) and late 2005 supports 7800 GT.

MacBook with Super Glue...seriously though

It's a dual CPU and i its an AGP slot.

So I'm assuming that means i'll have to get a new card altogether then?

If so, any recommendations?
