Okay, I'm all for good ol' April Fools silliness and shenanigans. And while I "get" the joke and new look, I have to admit that it's genuinely hampering my enjoyment of the place. Especially since it's been two full days now. It's truly, truly ugly and aggravating to navigate/read. So much so that I'm pretty much not (only checked it a 2-3 times this weekend, instead of my usual 650).

It was cute and novel (and made all the sense in the world) 24-36 hours ago. But now, Sunday evening, April 2, it's simply annoying...and overstaying its welcome.

I just want to state for the record that I'm very disappointed by all the whining and demanding I've seen regarding the temporary Maddox theme. Some of you people need to lighten up.

To the brand new complainers who aren't even members of the community: get lost. It doesn't take a genius to understand some common courtesy and etiquette. You don't barge into someone else's home uninvited and shout at the owners that you don't like their interior decoration choices.

Really, some of the wholly negative and demanding reactions I've received in the past 48 hours make me reconsider making any other special holiday themes.

I honestly didn't even really notice at first that things were back to normal. Which is not to say the best forum look was as good as this look, it's just that, I'm so familiar with this look and this look is so effective, it just fits like a glove.

Ah, I wasn't worried. I thought the theme was pretty cool and if my parents entered the room, I just hit command-option-control-8 and they are none the wiser.

I remember that hamster site running a lot better on a 333Mhz G3 with Netscape 4 than what Safari just did with my Dual G5!
