I'm not positive, but I believe vBulletin decreases the post count when you delete a post. So, based on that, maybe those members only had posts that were so bad they were trashed or deleted.

Ahh. That makes sense. I thought that they had perhaps not completed the registration process, and were banned from posting until doing so.

Odds are, the vast majority of those are just spammers -- one post, banned, and the post obliterated.

That, or they really pissed someone off.
