I was thinking about hosting an MP3 for my friends to download through my .Mac account, but I am wondering whether there is a limit to how much data I can have people download through my site?

There was a limit when it was a free service, but it apparently disappeared after iTools became .Mac.

There is definitely a limit, but it's unspecified.
The .Mac FAQ states that it's only intended for personal use - not commercial. Hosting an MP3 for your friends shouldn't be a problem (except maybe legally ) My site got temporarily shut down when I hosted pictures of the new (unopened) Apple Store near where I used to live and someone linked that to MacSurfer.com. For your purposes, don't sweat it, but if you expect massive hits you will be shut down. |

Well hopefully there will be no legal ramifications because it is not a record company song. More so, "open source" or the equivalent music term.
