Consider the source.

Deleted my gratuitious Slate-bashing...didn't want to come across like some of you and your out-of-the-blue anti-B*** tirades. I'm better than that...

Sorry for posting in an old thread, but this just may be the alleged Gisele ad

P.S. I told you that it would just show her image being edited.

Wow, Ghost2 - great call.

It almost seems like a waste if that was the only time the shots were used, though...you know how much her photo shoots are.

Apple's new ad campaign gets called out by Slate. Pretty good article.

Thanks for posting that, though I have no stance on the subject per se. I'd never seen this little 'ad' for the Microsoft design of the iPod box. Brilliant.

Thank you roboman it fells good to be recognized, and your right it does seem like apple is throwing a boatload of cash out the window, but it's probably no big deal to them they have tons of money.

Hey, nice. The new Mac vs. PC ads have dropped. I have to say, I like them a lot better than the first set. I'd say these probably resonate with a lot more people.

You know what I just realized, after reading that article. Apple's new ads are doing to PCs what PC users have been doing to Apple for years. They are calling PCs out on stereotypes and misconceptions. I don't know if I agree with the strategy, it's a bit smarmy to me, but at the same time, it does make Apple a more dominant figure in computing. They're simultaneously removing the myths about them and propagating myths about PCs. FUD is a dish best served after dinner.

Best Week Ever already did a parody of it. Those ads are obnoxious, to say the least. They actually make me want to buy a PC.

Whatever you do, don't read the thread before posting in it.
