I have a font issue. I installed a font I downloaded that a coworker wanted to use on a project. During installation with font book it froze up and didn't install or so I thought...
Well after that my times new roman shows up as this font that supposedly never installed. I tried removing my "times new roman" font using font book and reinstalling it but it stills shows up as the other font in all applications. Any idea how I can fix this because it is driving me nuts. |

Did you try removing the other font and reinstalling it as well as the times new roman?

That is the thing it never installed the other font. So I have nothing to remove.

I've not worked a font issue for years and years, but as I remember it, when conflicts occurred, the only way I could resolve the issue was to pull out all but the basic/default ones and add them back a bit at a time 'till I found the culprit causing the problem.
