So, I'm bored. I've had a hell of a time sleeping lately, so am looking for some Mac games that are fun. I burned out on the FPS genre in general, rahter i'm looking for some games I can just waste a few hours with. Anyone have any games they'd recommend for my Mac?

I got this off macupdate the other day, it was...kind of fun, I was able to waste some time with it though and it was fun to play around with
gish

also, Quinn is a nice game of tetris, that I can never get enough of, I love tetris.

I had a good time playing this game Elasticity it's a puzzle game, fairly straight forward, but still entertaining.

of course Emulation is always fun

I haven't tried it, but "Neverball" looks like "Marble Blast" which was a free .mac game.

As for other games, I have wasted some time on "Snap!" and it is not too bad. Link to the company site.

Oh, and Marble Blast OSX is good (you got it when it was free with .Mac, right?) as well as Enigmo. If you really want to kill a *lot* of time, snag a copy of Escape Velocity Nova; Ambrosia now has free plug-ins that convert the game into the classic EV and EV:Override too.

There's a game called pocket tanks that's a lot of fun. At least I think it's called pocket tanks. It's shareware. Try versiontracker.

Anyone up for a Call of Duty Smack-down? I will try to run my box as a server temporarily if interested. Worth a look to see how it performs. Should be pretty good.

PM me or iChat me and I'll give you the server name.

I really likes the Black & White games. Had the original for the PC a few years ago - not sure how gfx intensive it is - but the platinum edition is out for the mac.

OK, I have given up keeping this sig up to date. Lets just say I'm the guy that installs every latest version as soon as its available!

Depending on how fast your Mac is, you should try to find some N64 ROMs.

On this 1.33GHz PB, most games like F-Zero X, Mario Kart 64, and Super Mario 64 play perfectly. Zelda:OoT is a little more sluggish with the frame rate, but is still perfectly playable.

Whew! I'm not the only one hooked on Quinn! How many levels of random blocks do you usually start with? I think I start with 9.

I'm not ...addicted to it, I only play it when I want to play tetris.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE tetris, and am quite good at it, I just don't spend that much time playing quinn.

None of you punks own Call of Duty? Woe is me... well, woe is you actually. I suck. Would've been the perfect chance for you to splatter me all over the pavement and rubble.

We have that on the PC right next to me, and it is a great game, but I haven't played it in many months.

I have it, and I play it fairly often too! I just haven't been around for the last couple days. But if anyone wants to join in, let's go and I'll own you! I should be available tonight, around 6:30 or 7 PM Central time.

Done deal. Anyone who can join in, please do so. I'll hop onto iChat around 6:15 CST and we'll pick a name / type for the server and have at it. I don't know how well my machine will handle it people but I figure most "good" servers are just high-end PCs that people own, running on a cable connection. Very unlikely that many people own true Xeon boxes dedicated on a T1 line or some such.
