Hi

I've come across a page I'd like to open (neurosearch) but it tells me it's not available on macintosh, and that I need a browser capable of interactive javascript.

I've tried Safari 1.3, Firefox 1.0.4 and Opera 8.0.1 - all give me same message.

Is there a way around this or another browser that will work?

thanks,
geneman

P.S. this isn't the first page I can't access, but this time it bothered me enough to ask. The page works fine on windows IE.

Ugh. What a horribly-designed site.

You can go to http://www.neurosearch.com/index2.php to skip that warning message, but it doesn't help a lot since the links are broken. It looks like the designers there have needlessly obfuscated everyday functionality with fancy proprietary features to a point where you're just SOL.

"Interactive JavaScript" sounds like a tautology -- JavaScript, being an event-based scripting language, is always interactive anyway.

As for the site, e-mail the authors and beat them up with a clue stick.

Actually, "interactive JavaScript" looks to be a baldface lie. Note that the first page mentions ActiveX.

Yeah, actually I find I have more problems with javascript and WinIE than I do with any other browser...even including netscape...which I hate.

Thanks for your help guys, guess I'm stuck with Windows and IE for this one.

And I end that email with... BTW you wouldn't happen to have a job-opening (I know it's not the same people per se...)
