A video i found today, featuring a guy from Apple, who holds a talk on operatingsystem. The coolest thing is a video from 1962, of an amazing system called sketchpad!

You know Apple didn't exist in 1962, right?

If you Mo-rons weren't so judgmental you would have noticed he said the Apple dude showed a video of SketchPad which was made (the video) in 1962. Apple owes it's very existence to the invention of the GUI, what/who do you think is responsible for that? Answer: SketchPad/Ivan Sutherland.

Sketch Pad was the very first GUI based application and it was executed on old style oscilloscope tubes. It was the project that culminated in the dissertation of of Ivan Sutherland, the undisputed father of EVERYTHING graphic on computers including the GUI. He INVENTED CAD which was why he wrote SketchPad. He started the technology that would become OpenGL, he developed computer based flight simulators, he invented remote video sensing and virtual reality. His disciples and students started EVERY graphics department of any note in the USA and is the reason Univ of Utah is on the map let alone home of the classic "Teapot" and "Cow".

And what that computer was able to do, over 40 years ago is amazing (Even though it took a supercomputer)

I see that you're having some problems with the quote function, follow this link to instructions on how to use it! Note that Brad has made it even easier to use by including a "quote" button under every post.
