This is gonna be something to look forward to. I've always wanted to upgrade my unit to something better but Apple has made it for me. I would be planning to sell my old unit so I could buy the new one. Would be interested in a 17'' inch in the future.

How about the hard drives? Are they not planning to upgrade it?

Whether it's fortunate or unfortunate, I think when the next release comes out, I am going to sell my rev a Macbook Unibody and get a new MBP 15".

Three things that it has, that I would love to have are:
- Battery life
- FW
- HDMI out

to me, plus the bigger screen/higher resolution, and making it able for me to use my FW music recording interfaces on the go is a huge huge plus.

I just got my new 13" MBP. I'm still getting it set up right now, but I should be fully up and running by tomorrow morning.

This is wild: The screen is at full brightness, WiFi is on, and I just took it out of the box. 7 hours battery remaining.

Between the battery and my 8 GB of RAM, I should be very happy with this puppy.

[edit] This thing is remarkable, but the inertial scrolling is really strange. This will take some getting used to.
