For those people who are having trouble, what do your logs says?

Should be located in your home directory/library/folding and be called fahlog.txt.

It should tell you what is happening when it is being sent back to base. Though I am using a PC for my folding, so I am not sure what happens on a Mac.

Looks like you popped up yesterday. What version did you end up choosing? I am using the GUI myself though it does not have much in the way of options.

I've been using the 5.02 beta for several days now with no problems.

Preformance wise, I don't think anything's changed.

Here's a short list of what's new since 5.0:

5.02 New Stuff: 1. command line parameters are used. 5.00 New stuff: Add - Big packets" setting Add - checkpoint interval Add - WU type - no preference/standard/no-deadline Fix - Logs are no longer deleted every run by the GUI. And all the rest of the 5.00 stuff of course

I just downloaded the gui from the forum thread. Quit the v4 I was running and then started 5.02. Picked up where v4 left off (90% and two days...)

Looks the same except a few more options....

The visualizations were nice for me at first, but I began to feel like they were eating up too much CPU power, and the little animations took to long to change.

Now I use InCrease on all my machines. The real advantage to InCrease is that you can set it up to use both processors on a dual proc Mac. The other programs offered up are not dual aware IIRC.

InCrease really is a nice little app.

BTW, my stats are fubar now. I've been stuck on 411 and 7 WU for the last couple proteins I think. Maybe it's my browser not refreshing or something.

Have you restarted or at least restarted the app?

I've had a similar thing happen where it says it's working, but it's really not.
Quit then restarted the app and everything was good again.

Another thing to do is to look at your logs - if you are still on v4 cut and paste this into another document as I think it get deleted when you restart the app. This has supposedly been fixed in v5.02.

You should be able to see what server you sent your results too, and if it was successful. You can then go to the forum and ask for confirmation - though it might be wise to check the server status first....

Awe shite... I tried 5.02 for a bit and went back to using 4. Must've screwed up my log file or something. Is all my work lost? AFAICT tell from my "work folder", I'm on unit 9 and things seem to be intact. My score should be close to Murbot I guess... what should I do? If I move to 5.02 will it revamp my stats page? I'll post on the folding forum meantime just to see what answers I get.

My guess is that they should still be able to track your submissions, as long as you give them enough details.
