I asked before how i could get to my hotmail account from work, but it turns out i just cant do it. The network is set up so i cant. So i thought that id put my work phone line into my PB and use dialup. I set it up the same as my home account except i have to add a 0 to get an outside line. But when i connect it just sits there after it has dialed. It makes a single beep over and over and then disconnects. Is there something im not doing or am i doomed to never checked my emails at work again?? Thanks for the help

Does your work allow pop and smtp access outside it's network? If so, you can setup an email app to access you hotmail... err.. or so I think, I mean, you can setup outlook to access hotmail so I think it's pop and smtp based.

A friend of mine at my work got the whole office kicked off of MSN/hotmail because he was fucking around on MSN all day. So now he just uses VNC to connect to his home computer and goes on MSN... tricky bastard.

no sig, how's that for being a rebel!

Unfortunately the nearest fax line is a long long way away. Man this sucks. There's so much more stuff than just hotmail too. Its anything that i need to sign in to. This is the only exception because i have logged in permanently, and before they set it up so i couldnt do it anymore. Very frustrating. Thanks anyway

If you get the program downloaded an installed okay, under the accounts, you will need hotmails information. I believe incoming/outgoing for hotmail is mail.hotmail.com. Not sure though.

Hotmail will only work through a mail client (Outlook, or Mail with the free plug-in!) if you're a Hotmail Plus Subscriber. Once again, Microsoft find a way to charge you...
