It's an amazing deal, but would anyone feel that I would be getting ripped off? I don't see why I would be.
...Anyways I figured if anyone is in the market for a good deal on a 100GB hard drive, I'd give you guys the link too http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160005775663 |

Even if it legit, I wouldn't buy it. If you buy a hard drive new, you get direct support with Hitachi. Failures (and they do happen; we're talking laptop drives!) result in replacement, no questions asked.
Basically, the money you save here is the warranty. |

I don't know why it wouldn't be. It's not an "out of this world deal" but a good one and the seller has good feedback.

Not that great of a deal in my book. I'd rather have the direct support from the manufacturer for when/if the drive fails. Not to mention you can get similar deals through some of the sales at stores on new drives, maybe a little more than $102 (after shipping) like this listing, but the extra paid would be worth it in the case of an issue.
Edit: See this thread for someone talking about their price for the same drive. Louis L'Amour, “To make democracy work, we must be a nation of participants, not simply observers. One who does not vote has no right to complain.” Visit our archived Minecraft world! | Maybe someday I'll proof read, until then deal with it. Last edited by turtle : 2006-07-11 at 22:07. |

What happens if the drive fails in 6 months? Will the seller swap it for a new one? How long of a warranty will he give? Maybe these "fell off a truck" somewhere in Brooklyn, and the labels were removed to prevent tracking.... |

If you are willing to pay a little more for a little more peace of mind, there are a few deals that can be found:
