I think he would like that. I'll never think of Congo the same way again. Hilarious guy. Wicked sense of humor; evidenced all over this site.

I just re-read all of his posts. He will be sadly missed and can never be replaced

I wouldn't mind seeing something like "the house that Jack built" permanently appended to the Applenova logo on the page headers. Seems appropriate.

Doesn't sound too far out, when you look at the big picture: he had his hands into this site from the get-go, and was obviously proud of it and did a great job of things. A lot of work - more than most of us will ever realize - went into the joint.

Would be a shame if that wasn't marked or made known in some fitting, lasting way to all who visit.

Yeah. I'd second that.

I strongly third pscates' suggestion.

Something needs to be added so that someone that joins this place in a few years will know this is Jack's place.

Maybe one of the mods could set up a paypal account for donations to his family for flowers or something

We're working on something to send to his family, and will have a PayPal account set up for that purpose. Hopefully soon. It's taking us a while to work through this as well. Please be patient with us while we figure out the best way for us to give a tribute to Jack and provide something for his family.

I like your suggestion Paul, and we'll see what we can do to work something in of a permanent nature.

i don't know if the question to his address was answered, but i do believe that is his address. i stayed the night once, and that address sounds very familiar.

Hoping he went out in that truly bombastic style that was definitive Jack.

This is just too surreal. Not long ago, an e-friend of mine 'committed suicide'. About 4 months later it was unearthed that it was actually a prank by his brother, no one had heard from the supposedly dead guy because he had just gotten married, moved, was working 2 jobs and didn't have internet. When we finally learned that it was a prank, no one believed that his brother did it, they thought he did it. So he was ousted from the forums(not officially banned or anything, but everyone hated him)

Because of that episode, and because locash has a propensity for outlandish pranks, it just isn't computing in my head. I talked with him on AIM a bunch, I really liked the guy, this just doesn't make any sense, I can't believe it's true. Although I have spent a good deal of words in this post, the truth is, I don't actually have any that would be sufficient to describe exactly how I feel about this. Surreal is about as close to an acceptable word I can think of.

man...

My prayers will be with him and his family.

Geez. I always thought that if someone from AN was going to die, it would be me.

It honestly brings a tear to my eye.

Rest in peace Jack. May God be with you.

I had to look and read this thread and the other one three times before it sunk in.

This just sucks the big one. I can't believe it.

I barely knew him, but I'd seen that he was one of the main forces behind these forums. I feel empty right now.

RIP Jack. *plays Amazing Grace*

It is truly sad for me to read of this news. I know LoCash will be remembered by all of us who knew him. Reading this thread is like attending a funeral, friends and family come together to remember the wonderful person LoCash was.

I submit my deepest sorrow and respect to this young man.

I'd be interested in splitting driving/gas/etc with anyone from the Triangle headed down for the memorial, provided I can swing my schedule.

RIP Jack. Out of all the AN members, he is the most valued one for me. When I went through the evil era of my membership, he kept on saying end it and move on. This is so sudden, at a young age, and we don't know the cause of death, I am sort of hoping this is a joke. But, RIP Jack. You are one of the founding fathers of AN.
