I have a cassette deck hooked up to my Mac via iMic (i.e. USB) and the signal comes through just fine when I check it in System Preference's Sound windows. My problem is that I can't figure out how to save the sound so that I can burn it to DVD. The ridiculous thing is that I have done this successfully once before, but I don't recall the details.
I have a G4 dual with 1Gb RAM and plenty of hard disk space, and Quicktime Pro 7.0.1 installed. It's probably a very simple procedure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Open QuickTime Player:
QuickTime Preferences -> Recording. Set the Microphone to Line in. Set the Quality as you like. New -> New Audio Recording. Click record! |

Thank you, Brad, that worked and it was easy.
BTW, your signature almost made me homesick--I was born in Iceland. |
