Hi, Im looking for some software that I could use to catalogue CDs and DVDs thats Ive burnt myself. These are discs with files on, e.g. documents, patches, updates etc that Id like to know where they are
The ideal app would auto-scan a disc when I put it in the drive (or when I select scan) and would create a list of the files on the disc and their information and allow me to assign a location for the disc. Im already using delicious library for my books, DVD movies and games but it doesnt offer what I need for my own discs. Ive been searching but most of the stuff I find that seems to fit usually turns out to be windows only. Can you guys recommend anything that you may have seen or are using? Many thanks in advance. Readerware might be worth a look.

Hi thanks a lot for the fast responses readerware seems to basically be the same as delicious library unless Im misunderstanding their site but CDfinder looks to be pretty much what Im after. From the comments on the CDFinder site I also found a mention for filefinder which also doesnt look too bad, Im going to check them both out and I'll post back here in a couple of days with some comments in case anyones interested.
Thanks a lot for the help guys. Regards, Joolz |
