Has anyone ever used one of the Alphasmart devices? I'm looking for a cheap way to run Powerpoint in class and hook up the the in class projector.

How do you read 80 column cards on this computer?

Can the AlphaSmart do either?

You'd definitely be looking at the AlphaSmart Dana at that point. I'd suggest grabbing a Dell Inspiron 1525 or something instead - the extra $150 will buy you a vastly more capable machine.

and i guess i've known it all along / the truth is, you have to be soft to be strong

Save as QuickTime movie, use an iPod Touch or iPhone with video out.
