I have a G4 laptop running OS 10.4.4. When I am at my office I have no problem on the wireless network (D-link wireless router). I can see the other computers, access files and even print to the network printer. At my house I have an airport extreme. I can access the internet without a problem but I can't see my desktop mac on the network. Is there a setting that needs to be changed on the Airport Extreme that is causing this? Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you need to make sure the settings in sharing in system preferences are correct. I believe you want to turn file sharing on.

Indeed - I believe it's turned off by default. On your desktop Mac at home, go to System Preferences, and click Sharing. The first tab (Services) has check boxes to enable various things, with Personal File Sharing at the top.

...and all the wolves were found upside-down in a box!
