My Linksys router crapped out today. I need to get a new one and was looking at the Airport Extreme. Does Apple offer a "repeater"? I have stone walls and ideally would like to extend the range of my router.
Now that I got a job, I can buy more Apple products! |

You can use an Airport Express as a repeater, and I've read reports that some Linksys and Netgear models will work as well. It's called "wireless distribution system." I use it with an Airport Extreme and an Express for this.

Last question: can I hook one USB drive to Extreme and use it as a network drive and have more than one computer access this for Time Machine, or do I need a separate drive for each computer? Now that I got a job, I can buy more Apple products! |

Time Machine, currently doesn't work with Airport Extreme network drives.
