I'm finally getting around to The Lost and the Damned and, frankly, I'm not really all that impressed. The missions seems almost exactly like copies of the regular storyline -- maybe that's intentional, but I'm not really a fan. The graphics are gritty, almost dirty looking which, again, might be intentional but I'm not a fan. Basically the only thing The Lost and the Damned is doing is making me miss Niko's storyline.

I finished Sam and Max Season 1 the other night. After the first couple of episodes, it really got into it's groove. Despite my initial reservations, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Episode 5 is really great. Looking forward to Season 2

Even if I had the patience to play that game, I doubt I'd be able to get even one line. Funny though! |

What's a good, hot first person shooter that's out right now?
I'm thinking about picking up a new game today. |

Call of Duty 4 or WaW.
Or if you want something unique and awesome, Mirror's Edge. |

Mirror's Edge has a pretty short story mode, but has speedruns and time trial modes to add play length. Personally I found it to be fun as hell, my favorite 360 game.
Do you have Bioshock? It's older but pretty awesome. I can't think of any standout FPS's that are recent other than COD:WaW. |

It's really hard to get the "gold medal" (I think it's star based isn't it ?) in Mirror's Edge. I tried the same level for like 5-6hours. I ended in the top 20 or something... Fun

Scorched Earth. Yes, the original DOS game, via Boxer (a very cool app that packages DOS games into a bundle that you can launch directly via the Finder).
I've been on a big nostalgia kick lately; I've got a bunch of old DOS games on my iMac that I've been revisiting, some for the first time in almost a decade. I started gaming on the PC during the "golden age" of DOS shareware, and some of the games I came across at the time remain some of my all-time favorites. |

I'll third the BioShock mention - one of the few FPSes that I saw fit to play through twice.

All my twins boys were hooked on COD4 but now it seems to be Gear of War II. Everyone on of their friends is playing it too. Our new Xbox is used almost exclusively. . .the PS3 seems to be just Folding now. . .
Now that I got a job, I can buy more Apple products! |

You should give the PS3 a workout with KillZone 2. It's awesome. I enjoy it much more than I ever enjoyed GoW. I have not played GoW II though, so I can't directly compare.

Gave up on KotOR 2 out of boredom; decided to start up Jade Empire instead. Here's hoping it's more interesting!

I picked up GTA: Chinatown Wars yesterday, only had chance to play it for a little bit, but I've been impressed with how much they've managed to cram onto the DS.

Dusted off The Orange Box last Friday and played some Team Fortress 2. OMG! What a hoot! I could see playing this regularly for a bit because it's so fun.

Indeed! I did some too over the weekend. Though I will probably switch back to some more COD4 or UT3 once my new graphics card arrives.

Every Extend Extra Extreme (try saying that five times fast!) for the Xbox 360. I used to have a blast (pun intended) in the original, freeware game on Windows, and the 360 version is just as much fun as I remember.
In fact, it's so much fun that I've been playing it for about the last hour and a half straight. I'm at just over 5 trillion points right now, and needed to take a break. Anyone else tried it out? |

I picked up Wolf 3D yesterday, too. It works great on the iPod touch. They're definitely the first ones to do FPS the right way on that platform. I've only had time to play a couple levels, but I'm already pretty comfortable.

Picked up Killzone 2, Alone in the Dark and Resident Evil 5. Will certainly keep me busy for awhile.
