So here's my dilema, i'm hoping someone might know of a solution

i have an iBook and an iMac. i hardly ever sit in front of the iMac, but i usually keep it on 24/7, do to random stuff such as file serve, etc.

i want iCal to send an email for certain events, so i set it up on the iBook, but whenever the iBook is asleep, the email will not be sent.

Are there any easy ways to set this up where i can put iCal on the iMac, and access it through the iBook? i was thinking setting up VNC, but that seems like a hassle.

How do you trigger the events?

Could you mount the iMac via SMB or AFP and run its iCal that way?

Remote Apple Events would probably work as well, but might be needlessly complex.
