Awhile ago there was a thread in here about a software product that you could install on an Apple laptop that would take pictures and send you IP addresses if your laptop was stolen, but I be damned if I can find it now.

Any one remember the product name?

Now that I got a job, I can buy more Apple products!

Perhaps another alternative is iAlertU. I prefer it in the sense that it is more preventative.

I keep thinking that I should get something like this for my laptops...and then I realize that it would be mostly useless for me since many of these types of solutions either require Internet access to work, or (in some cases) automatically disable the machine if you go too long without connecting to the Internet; seeing as, because I live aboard a ship without open Internet access, I could theoretically go for a few months without connecting my laptops to the Internet, so that would be a deal-breaker for me.
