I don't have an iPad but will and don't want to re-buy in the future. If I buy the iPad version game can I use it on my iPhone? (3G & 3Gs)

Any app that runs on both will say so in the details just under the name and the price.

Plants vs Zombies made a great amount of sale when it was first release for the iPhone. I'm sure it would do the same for the iPad. The iPad will make it a better experience for sure since it has a larger screen plus a better multi touch unit than the iPhone.
I'm not sure about the fact that the iPad is not multitasking. Would really love it to play and listen to music at the same time. |

Rob, you can listen to music at the same time, at least from your iTunes library. That has been possible on every single iPhone OS device (which includes the iPad and iPod touch). What isn't possible is listening through an online streaming service that requires a third-party app, like Pandora or Last.FM.

You'll be able to do that once 4.0 comes out.
