When I copy and paste, I read "Join us as we unveil Apple’s latest pro innovations," but when I type it by hand, I get:

AppleInsider did mention a new "photography-related announcement" in their article on the new pro gear yesterday...and Adobe did "leak" that "Photo Pro" thing...and they decided not to bring Photoshop Elements 4 to the Mac...

Hmm...I just hope it has a better name.

Good point! I noticed that Adobe didn't bring photoshop elements 4 to the mac, and was wondering why. I thought it was just some bug or slow programing. I like your idea better though. That would suggest that Photo pro will not only have just cataloging and backing-up features but also moderate editing. If they combined the iphoto viewing, plus adobe's element's editing power, then it would be one great application. There will be some serious competition with iView. BTW, why don't you like the name? The only name I can think of would have the words "digital darkroom" in it.

This is great news - agreed that it's going to be more than a little speed bump in these machines, since it's another "event". I'll be happy with a higher-res screen in the PowerBook and the other standard updates, anything more is just gravy.

Pro Photo app? Are they going to take on Photoshop?!? Only Apple would dare.

Anyway, leave it to Apple to milk the holiday selling season for all it's worth! I'm ordering my PowerBook right after the event!
