By the way, I believe "your" is the word you wanted to use in the title.
You're = you are. Your = possessive form of you. Sample usage: "You're bringing shame to your family and teachers by using such poor grammar." They haven't made it yet... It's the one where Geroge Lucas get disembowled (slowly) for 1 hour 45 minutes and screams in agony on the silver screen for all to see and enjoy.
But personally I still think the first one. 'Remember, measure life by the moments that take your breath away, not by how many breaths you take' Extreme Sports Cafe | ESC's blog | scratt's blog | @thescratt |

Lucas said the new one is completely different than the other 5, it's highly emotional along the lines of Titanic (in space) is what he said.

While you guys are giving macgeek2004 a hard time, I think it's only fair that we note that George Lucas is re-making the original trilogy like he said in a thread we quickly closed last week.
It is with great regret that we say our farewells to Jack, who passed away on May 28th, 2005. So..... you've seen it then.
The trailers look pretty good, and I'm sure it'll be an effect tour de force, but I really don't have much faith in Lucas as a storyteller anymore. A marketer, merchandizer, and overall corporate money-making machine, sure. But so is MS. *shrug* Not feeling the love from his films anymore. I mean come on, comparing the quality of emotional interplay to Titanic??? That's just sad, coming from the same man who brought us THX-1138. |

I purposefully avoided seeing Titanic for years, because I hate mega-hype-movies. I eventually saw it on a pirated Thai VCD in Bangkok and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I believe I used the same excuse on Star Wars, I avoided Star Wars like the plague when it came out in fact I saw the first two in the months directly preceding the third one as they were reissued as part of the build up to the finale.
I only saw the first of the "new" Star Wars series and the first one was so awful I never even contemplated going to the second or the one about to come out. Same goes for the reissues of the original trilogy, Lucas ruined those. Thank god I have the laser discs of the original three to share with my children. As for Titanic, it was a great movie going experience. It was great on so many levels, to denigrate it just because it did big box office is foolish if not outright stupid. The best being when Leo finally died and we didn't have to listen to him any more.
The effects were *pretty* good, but as we saw in Ep I, effects do not a movie make. (And a few of the 'easier' effects were just laughably bad.) The costuming was nice, and the attention to detail on the sets was great. But story? Plot? Characterization? Acting? Meh. Let's get back to trashing on Lucas. |
