Is this new, or was I just blind as a bat before today?

That confused me too. I thought I had changed a setting locally, but it must be new...

You sure it's not a setting on your end? I'm still seeing normal blue highlight.

That's very, very cool. Nice touch, Brad. (Or whoever did that--I think this is a good assumption, though.)

Heh. I was wondering how long it would take before someone would notice.

Try a hard reload to clear out your cache.

It is now called Darklight. We are slowly phasing in a new goth theme.

Looks like it. Load the main CSS file in your browser and read through it. The highlight is near the top (just do a search for "highlight" and you'll find it).

Is there any Javascript involved, Brad, or does it "just work"?

I'm also guessing that it only works in WebKit-based (Safari, Shiira) and Mozilla-based (Mozilla, Firefox, Camino, etc.) browsers based on the way the CSS is written.

I'm on a lab PC right now, so I just tested it in IE, and it works.

...why is the "applenova" banner up top different in IE though?

Because IE sucks?

If it's IE6 or older, you probably see some grey background because IE didn't properly support PNG transparency until IE7.

Look's good, although it appears to go back to blue highlighting if there is a gap of more then a few lines in a single post...

... try highlighting this!

edit 2: here, highlight chucker's reply: http://forums.applenova.com/showpost...9&postcount=18

Blame your web browser for inconsistent use of the selection selector.

I have it in Safari and Shiira.
