Wow! Thanks guys! I didn't even realize this thread existed until now. I'm actually going to St. John in the US Virgin Islands next Monday. Until then, I'm STILL working on my damn dissertation. I'll be done with it soon and lounging on the beach with not a care in the world very very soon.

The wedding was beautiful but, and I shit you not, my new wife's grandmother had a heart attack right after giving her toast at our wedding. She passed away on the way to the hospital. It was all very sad and we spent the past few days dealing with the funeral and wake. My wife is doing better now, but it's going to be a long time before we can look at the pictures and video.

Congrats on the marriage.

I am really very sorry to hear about your loss. I hope everything manages to get easier over time.

I don't mean for this smilie to be taken the wrong way but... :wow:

That is really quite sad torifile. I'd personally find it hard to watch a video of the wedding/reception after something like that. I'm a bit of a glass half empty person and I think I would let that "trigger" emotions by association.

I hope that your dissertation goes well and that you and your wife can manage to settle into a somewhat less eventful start to your married life together.

All I want is a simple life
