Yo,

Whats everyone packing nows-adays? I'm still using bitchin' Safari 4. Was thinking of migrating over to Chrome, or at least trying it, but I have a habit of always going back to Safari. I'm a bit of a flirtatious little slut with browsers though, and even played a game of just the tip with Shiira. Man I wish that one was still being developed.

Basically, I want to generate a bit of browser discussion again. Lets face it, most of us probably use it more than anything else on our computers.

That's right. Opera twice. If you are using Chrome, vote for Opera. The second one.

OK: Edit, don't click Opera if you are using Chrome. It will really fuck things up. So click Chrome if you are using Chrome.

Firefox and Chrome. Chrome on PC, Firefox on my MBP, since the Mac version of Chrome does not support extensions.

Just recently switched to Chrome thanks to it getting extensions. But I still use Firefox sometimes (Chrome can be a bit picky).

I gave Safari a proper go when I reinstalled 10.6, but just can't leave the cmd+number key tab switching in Firefox, and Safari's RSS bookmarks bugged me too, so back to Firefox I went.

Chrome (developer w/ extensions) on both Mac and Windows. I had been using Safari since 4.0 beta, but I liked the tabs up top and when they ditched them I stopped liking Safari as much. I haven't even installed FireFox on any of my machines in months.

Chrome does need a lot more work on the Mac though, but it's good enough for full time use now with a little help from Safari sometimes.

I finally came over to Safari. I miss the tab previews in Omniweb, but the close of active development was too much of a blow. Shame.

Bryson-

I recall the announcement and went to refresh my memory as to why they stopped development, and reading the Future Development section on wiki, it doesn't seem to suggest they stopped development- it talks about new engine & a preview released last month?

I like the firefox extensions but have to go with Safari for stability. FF just crashes on my iMac too much...

Same here, though I always do Pandora in Firefox.

I'm the lonely Camino user... It's clean, and I like the keyboard shortcuts.

Safari at home but at the office, on my PC, it's Chrome hands down.

Funny, I can't stand how Firefox uses the number keys for tab switching. As for RSS, a dedicated reader is better than either browser. Go NetNewsWire!

I've occasionally thought of moving to Camino or Firefox - which I keep handy - but still have not had a solid and persistent reason to do so.

I'm switching because 'fox has an awesome Star Trek theme persona!

I use Safari on my Macs and Firefox on PC. As ever, Firefox on Mac is just ugly and in general "not right". Plus, OTA syncing with my other computers and iPhone is kind of important for me. And by "kind of important", I mean so important that it's a deal breaker without. Yeah, I'm wedded to MobileMe for, like, ever.

Those "Firefox personas" are so comically bad they seem to represent Mozilla's agenda to discredit UI theming once and for all.

They are open source, what do you expect? I'll take function over fancy UIs any day of the week.

Same here. My renewal hit this past Wednesday, in fact. I gladly re-upped. Having contacts, bookmarks and iCal stuff sync across my iPhone, iMac and MobileMe site - only having to enter/update info once, in one location - is just awesome.

Camino, as always. I admit I'm surfing in Safari more and more since 4.0 came out, or at least since discovering ClicktoFlash.
