Hi folks

I'm just wondering about hosting my personal website on my iDisk.

At the moment I have a big fancy hosting package with multiple domains attached to it and its costing me an arm and a leg every year. I very rarely use the package for much now and i'm wanting to get rid of it the next time its renewed.

The only thing I actually need it for is hosting my personal website, which needs to display a small 'About Me' paragraph, my portfolio of web design and ofcourse my contact details. I'm thinking this could easily all go onto one clean, well laid out homepage, without any need for a server side language.

However ... It would be good to be able to use PHP, ASP or ASP.NET for small things like a random image generator, custom built hit counter etc, so what i'm asking is does anyone know if the .Mac iDisk have support for any of these languages? It would also be nice to know if anyone else host their websites (excluding iWeb sites) using their iDisk and how reliable and convenient it is.

Cheers,

Steven.

Ok, I thought that ... No harm in asking though!

Hmm, so one html file will have to do, after all thats all I need I guess.

Hows the reliability then? Does it ever go offline, has anyone else got a website hosted on their iDisk?

I host site on my iDisk and have never had a problem. Granted, I'm not running anything major on it either. Low traffic, low bandwidth, etc. It serves me fine though. I guess it would depend on how much you want to run through iDisk.
