[SpecMode]

Alright...I'm visiting my parents in Central California, and they use the DirecWAY satellite Internet provider (no cable or DSL available in the area). I'm having major issues browsing several websites, including this forum, on my Powerbook with 10.4.3 / Safari 2.0.2.

For instance, after replying to a post a few minutes ago, the resulting page showed only my reply, and not the rest of the thread; and even that is more than I was getting last night.

Some threads seem to load perfectly fine until a certain point, as the following image points out (1440x960, linked to keep from borking up the forum layout so Brad won't kill me )

It's been doing stuff like this pretty consistently for the entire time I've been here...is there anything I can do to improve my connection, or am I out of luck?
