My firewire drive has been acting up for a long time now, what is does is, it randomly freezes and crashes finder... I don't know why it does this..
I tried to reformat the drive today, but it got an error saying "could not unmount" The drive is unusable in this state because, every time i pug it in, it crashes my computer I have tried this on my Intel imac, PPC powerbook, it happens to both I am running tiger anything i can try? If you can read this this, please send to an admin, i am blocked and cant post.... |

Change drive enclosures. It could be the enclosure is failing. I've had this happen several times to my drives. I'm sure if you pull the enclosure apart it'll just be an IDE drive.
