Hi,

As you can tell from the title, I'm looking for a leather laptop sleeve for a 12 inch powerbook. I looked at Coach and they really have nothing I'm looking for, and it would seem that anything regarding computers is ridiculously stupid looking or dorky looking. I can't believe there is no market for minimalist leather laptop cases...any help?

The STM small loft is a stylish, minimalist design and I think it looks great. Even though it is not leather, it might fit the bill for you.

I haven't seen a leather case for a 12" PowerBook - I suspect there's not much in that market and you would need to be careful anything you find is sufficiently padded to protect the PB. Although very different from a leather brief, you might like to look at something like this http://www.tumi.com/products/index.c...3_Link=Details . It's a very compact Tumi, durable and appropriate for client meetings.

Have a look at the Knomo Bungo cases in the Cases section of the Apple Store (UK).
Techically not specifically for 12" Powerbooks, but you know, 12" is less than 15"!

Oh they're prohibitively expensive!

They're not leather though and if he's looking at Coach, I suspect palefire is looking for something more formal. I use a Brenthaven 12" flex myself too at weekends and it's a good case.

BTW, your links will die quickly as they were created for your own shopping session.

Well that's embarrasing! Not what I intended to link to. Anyway, edited!

Here's a link: http://www.knomobags.com/eshop/product_detail_bungo.asp

Look like pretty nice bags (I have also wondered why there seemed to be no leather bags for laptops).

What about commissioning a local shop (boot shop?) to make you a bag. Can't be very complicated...and you can have it made exactly how you want it.
