I went to the Apple store and the very nice Mac Geniuses were not able to get my iPhone to send pics to my Web Gallery. In the Apple iLife 08 video, they send pictures from the Photos application. The Geniuses were able to do it from their iPhones.

We updated my iPhone 3 times. Any ideas??

Hm, I can't see how this would be related, but did you update iPhoto to version 7.01? It's a bug fix that came out on Monday. I know people couldn't access their web galleries without it. Still, I don't see how that would have anything to do with it, but it can't hurt to ask.

I did update both at home and at the Apple Store and it didn't work.

I even changed my setting for my .Mac account from IMAP to POP since the Apple people had their .Mac accounts set as POP.

I just don't get it....

Or we could posit the hypothesis that only Geniuses can get their iPhones to do it.

I hate to break the corollary to you...

Have you configured a .mac email address on your iPhone? I've heard that that's the important piece of the puzzle.

Yup...it actually started working within the past 20 minutes. It's so weird. I set up the .Mac account over 4 hours ago.

Thanks though...

There's some thought that Apple is triggering this update via EDGE for the iPhone. I have no idea if that's true or not, but there is some supporting evidence:
