Hello...

My wife has a 14" iBook 640MB. ATY, Rage M3 8MB Video card.
It's a G3 running 10.3 and 9.2.

Myst seems to 'unexpectedly quit' at the point it is initialising the display.
I suspect it is video card related but wondered if anyone can confirm it so we can give up trying to get it work... or perhaps can point us the right way to get it to run.

On the myst site it states a 3D card with 16MB is the basic requirement, however it also states that it will work with less VRam but slowly...

Any help would be mucho appreciated!
Cheers,
scratt

I've never heard of a problem like this being video card related. So try some basic OS X maintenance tips that are outlined in this here thread.

Try repairing permissions, clearing caches, and if that doesn't do anything, an FSCK may do the trick. Again, how-tos on all those can be found in the above link.

One more question...is the Myst installer running in OS X or does classic boot?

Good luck.
