I've been over Appleinsider and there are several posts revealing Think Secret working on a detailed report involving Apple Announcements. The poster refuses to talk about it until it's released by Think Secret.
More... The poster says it's so big even Think Secret may be scared to post it !

Is this a tease or true ?

The Apple Insider poster is Rolo and you can read his posts here...

Most likely a little jovial trolling.

But make no mistake, nothing would please me more than to see my Apple stock break free of Earths gravity.

Maybe it's just a new colour for the Shuffle?

dunno.

Its conceivable that ThinkSecret does have some info . . . and more probable that they'll keep it quiet given whats gone before.

Hard to tell, but i'm partially convinced by Rolo ( hi Rolo - no doubt you'll read this ) but not 100% convinced.

Without it turning into a specific product speculation, I think general sway of feeling seems to be centering on consumer media and integration . . . its where the whole market is going.

Tease by Rolo . . . . definietely.

True? hmmm partially IMHO

Without going

Well, it's not unlikely that: A consumer electronics company may introduce a new consumer electronics device. Is it? Possibly one of the least imaginitive speculations ever.

Yeah, but with all Rollo's fanfare, it would have to be something like the original iPod launch. I can't honestly dream up such a device inside my little brain.

My optimal MWSF introduction list includes:

iBook Core Duo
PowerBook Core Duo +
Mac Mini Core Duo
Airport Express A/V
FCE 6 & FC Extreme
iLife '06 with iWeb
No f***ing iPods

My far-side hopes:

10 fold speed increase on the Internet
Program to fry any spamlords PC and zombies
PowerPod (PDA+cellphone+mass storage+GPS+taser gun)

EDIT:
DigTimes doesn't have the best record of accuracy, and it's not groundbreaking enough for Rolo's trumpeting.

Joe,

Is that directed at me?

If so, Yes, I know its hugely vague and looking back, a bit thick of me to put it in without perhaps expanding my thoughts a little ( is there a mongo smilie? )

The bits that make me partially convinced about Rolo are the manner in which he's discussing the market share / profitability driven by the integration of technology. Your *average* attention seeking troll wouldn't really come out with stuff the way he's phrased it unless they knew about/ worked in that sort pf business culture.

Personally, I dont think that the plug a box into the net to download content and simply play it back on a TV is ground breaking enough for me to walk out and get one - nor do i think its big enough a ground breaker for other consumers to do likewise.

I would want PVR.
I would want ipod connectivity in the box
I would want email and web surfing in the box
I would want iSight to come with it for video messaging.
I would want ipods to be wireless, and for the box to recognise me when I walk in the room with it.

When I do walk in the room, it automatically pops up, says hellos, syncs the pod, displays emails or missed video / phone messages.

Oh, and I would want to be able to talk to it saying "Video call Dave" or "delete email" or "watch DVD" or "Play Proclaimers" < shit errr, " Play Prodigy" ( << yeah that sounds more cool! :smokey: )

thats the kind of integration i'm looking for. Thats the kind of consumer electronics i would want a consumer electronics company to make.

Will Apple do that? It'd be nice if they did.

Well, I think this thread has seen enough pointless drivel.

See Joe's post here for the reason why this thread is generally a waste of electrons:

On top of that, this is a thread speculating about a different forum's member who makes vague mention of writing an article for yet another web site that speculates about Apple's intentions. I don't even want to think about how many degrees of separation are going on in that statement!

The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting.
