My Macbook Pro is acting like windows. Sometimes when I close it, it will reboot when I open it back up. And just now when it turned back on my desktop wallpaper is gone and i can't put a new one on. What is up?

Repair permissions and the other preventive step in the FAQ here will help. Do a little "spring cleaning". My Mini gets the same way if I don't. In fact, this last reboot it put up a wallpaper I haven't used in months.

Have you ever installed any of those "don't go to sleep when the lid shuts" apps? They install kernel extensions that have a propensity for odd issues like restarting on opening/shutting.
