IT'S BACK!!!
Despite the loss in the opener, I think I finally have something to legitimately look forward to as a Leafs fan. Matthews is unreal, and Marner was the best player on the ice for both teams. Andersen still looked shaky post-injury, but I don't think there's any reason to worry. My predictions of the team being incredibly fun to watch appear to at least be accurate for now. Hoping to be in a position to at least return to the playoffs this year. Young guys are streaky, so it'll depend on how well Andersen/Enroth and the defense can step up overall. I trust Babcock to mold the forwards to a solid defensive game while capitalizing on their offensive talents. Also got to catch Edmonton/Calgary. McDavid is a ton of fun to watch, too. Sucks about some of the injuries already to Quick and Eichel, but I think this season is gonna be a blast with the influx of young talent. Best of luck to everyone's teams. That was a hell of a debut for Matthews. Definitely could be an exciting player.
I'm excited to see how the Flyers start off tomorrow night. |

For some reason I find it hard to get excited about the NHL anymore. I went to a few WHL games last year, far better bang for your buck when it comes to ticket to enjoyment value.

That's entirely true.
I looked up tickets here in Boston a few days ago and they're over $75/seat for literally the last row in the Garden. Just doesn't make sense. No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now. |

The Leafs new young players look pretty impressive. Maybe even have a shot at making the playoffs, though tactically it might make more sense to play exciting but losing hockey for another year or two.

I grew up a Flyers fan and loved them but they just always found a way not to win it. The Lindros era was the last straw. So much talent and no Cups. Maybe one day. |
